ServiceFactor Release Notes: July 16, 2026
This release brings quoting and invoicing improvements, QuickBooks sync fixes, mobile fixes, and equipment usability updates, along with a broad set of bug fixes.
QuickBooks sync improvements
ServiceFactor now warns you before saving text that is too long for QuickBooks Desktop to sync, preventing silent sync failures. For companies using QuickBooks automated sales tax, syncing no longer overwrites existing tax rates. This release also fixes payments not syncing to QuickBooks, ACH payments not appearing in ServiceFactor, refunds being double-counted in payment amounts during sync, handling when an invoice and its payment are deleted in QuickBooks Online, and sub customer removal on QuickBooks Desktop.
Mobile
Technicians can now search within the select text codes list on both iOS and Android. This release also fixes several mobile issues: line items no longer disappear when moved from an invoice to an accepted quote, the Move to Invoice button is restored on iOS quotes, quote edits made on Android now show up on web, service agreement discounts are no longer re-applied on top of manually entered sell prices, flat rate material and labor amounts now round consistently on the device, and the "Why did you mark this Incomplete?" prompt is no longer covered by the keyboard on iPad in landscape.
Equipment
Work orders now link directly to the related equipment record, inactive equipment are hidden from the equipment list by default, and the equipment timeline
correctly records who inactivated a piece of equipment and when.
Other Improvements
The customer labor rate type is now displayed on the quote screen. Site notes keep your line breaks instead of collapsing into one block on all pages.
Bug fixes
A range of customer-reported issues have been resolved in this release, including duplicated payments, card swiper transaction failures, payment labeling, invoice PDF generation errors, invoice email formatting, contact information display, and several other targeted fixes.
